If you need something done, ask a busy person: If the old adage is true, the go-to on our local classical music scene would be Keitaro Harada. The award winning conductor has a full schedule, as associate conductor of the Arizona Opera and music director for the Phoenix Youth Symphony, along with a busy guest conducting schedule that has included recent appearances with the Tucson Symphony and the Orquestra Filarmonica de Sonora. This week K-Bach’s Sterling Beeaff chatted with Keitaro about his upcoming debut with the Arizona Pro Arte orchestra in a program called “ Across the Pond”, that features music by Mendelssohn, Vaughan Williams, and a world premiere by Irish composer, Christopher Norby.
Conductor Keitaro Harada leads the AZ Pro Arte Orchestra “Across the Pond”, 3pm, Sunday, January 19th at the Tempe Center for the Arts. For more details, visit www.azproarte.com.
