Charlotte Wilson
Charlotte was running a music festival one day in Wellington in her native New Zealand when the radio spoke to her and told her they were looking for announcers. Her path in life was suddenly clear!
Now with a twenty-year career in broadcasting, Charlotte brings a wealth of experience to KBACH that includes stints at Radio New Zealand and the BBC. Her interviews with artists ranging from Neville Marriner to Flight of the Conchords have aired on NYC’s WQXR and Australia’s ABC. Charlotte also writes program notes and CD liners—she loves the stories behind the music, as you may be able to tell!
Art runs in the family. Charlotte’s grandparents were a pianist and painter, famous in New Zealand, and she’s a bit of an art fiend herself. She plays multiple instruments extremely badly.
Aside from music, Charlotte enjoys spending time with her young daughter, getting out into nature with her husband (he’s the American), going for a spin on her sunshine yellow Ducati 748, and curling up with a cat and a good book.
