Wagner's masterful retelling of the 17th century nautical legend, "The Flying Dutchman" has mesmerized audiences since the Dresden world premiere in 1843: A cursed sea captain and his phantom ship are doomed to sail the seas forever, unless he's redeemed by the powers of true love. November 15-17, at Phoenix's Symphony Hall, AZ Opera continues their season with Wagner's "Flying Dutchman", complete with an all star cast that includes Mark Delavan as the Dutchman. K-BACH's Sterling Beeaff chats with conductor Joseph Rescigno.
