Amy Bishop
Amy started her career in radio as a student DJ for KNTU at the University of North Texas. She graduated with a German degree, but had her sights set on radio and worked at a mixed bag of stations in the Dallas area before taking an announcer position at Classical 101.1 WRR-FM.
Amy also served as the arts and culture reporter for Houston’s NPR affiliate. As an award-winning arts journalist, her stories could often be heard nationally on NPR’s Here & Now.
Amy’s musical tastes are broad. She is a self-proclaimed Beatlemaniac and a bona fide Anglophile, loving all things British. She often describes herself as a coffee-addicted crazy cat lady who loves to dance.
